the announcement was made that Tony LaRussa had been selected for induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. For the most successful manager born within the last century, the honor is due and he saw to achieving it on his own terms.
The result of this year’s Hall of Fame election, in which no payers were elected, is already controversial enough, but the number of votes for some players who appeared on the ballot for the first time is what could set the stage for vehement arguments for years to come.
All the debate is over and the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA) has decided for the eighth time in history to not induct a player into the Hall Of Fame.
