KANSAS CITY, MO (December 8, 2011) – The Kansas City Royals and Royals Charities will welcome 80 area children to the third annual Royals Charities Kids Holiday Party, set for Tuesday, December 13 at Kauffman Stadium. The club will host children from four area organizations – Della Lamb, El Centro, Inc., Operation Breakthrough and Spofford Home – during the party, which is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. in the Diamond Club.

During the event, the children will enjoy dinner, an opportunity to make holiday-themed crafts and a visit from Royals mascot Sluggerrr. All of the children will receive a gift from Santa Claus purchased by Royals associates and leave with a stocking full of goodies.

The holiday party is a private event for the select children from the four charitable organizations. Media members wishing to cover the event should enter Kauffman Stadium at Home Plate Gate C.

In addition, the Royals will once again support the Topeka (Kan.) Police Department’s Cops and Kids event on Saturday, December 10.
